Krista Attwood B.A. LL.B.

Krista graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2000 and was called to the Bar in NovaScotia in 2001.  She clerked with the Nova Scotia Supreme Court for a year and then practiced at the firm Sealy Cornish in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia until 2005. Krista moved to Ontario in 2005 and since then has practiced law in Oakville. Krista trained in collaborative family law and practices exclusively family law with a focus on alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and arbitration. Although not opposed to using the court process when necessary. Krista believes that families are best served when their emotional and financial resources are utilized for the benefit of the family. Most often a family oriented, negotiated Separation Agreement can be achieved with far less conflict with less legal fees through alternative dispute methods than through litigation.
